Gruber was right---We are stupid!

Jonathan Gruber, an MIT economics professor, was paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to help write the ACA (Obama Care). At the time he was praised by both the President and Nancy Pelosi. In speeches, a couple of years later, he said that in order to get that bill passed, the American people had to be lied to or they would not go for it.  He stated that it would succeed because the American people were stupid. We were lied to by the President over and over again. "You can keep your plan and your doctor. Costs will go down." None of that was true. After Gruber and his statements were made public, Both the President and Pelosi claimed they didn't know who Gruber was.  More lies! Gruber was right about the stupidity. In 2012 the American people re-elected Obama and many of his cast of characters. However, in November 2014 there were a lot fewer stupid Americans and, in the election smarter Americans took control of both the Senate and House. A large amount of stupidity still exists. New York State, California and almost all of New England lead in that category. Gruber was right and MIT sits in the middle of that territory

Today in America we still have two major political parties. The Democrats and Republicans. The Republicans have a new invigorated faction known as the Tea Party Movement. The older establishment Republicans are being wrongly advised and are trying to reign in and modify this group. How stupid can they be? This newly elected bunch of Senatos and Congressmen were sent there by million and millions ao American citizens who want to get back to a smaller constitutional government. That is the movement. The Democrats and establishment Republicans put the party ahead of the people. The Tea Party faction puts the people first. Boehner, McConnell, McCain and others should wake up and listen to the people.Don't reign in the Tea Party. Reign in the glutoness federal and state governments and bring democracy back to the government of the people, by the people and for the people

We were warned to reduce our carbon footprint. Stop burniing fossil fuels. Go solar Go electric or the world will overheat and we'll all be doomed. Dollars and Sense

President Obama flew Air Force One Last week to NYC for a fund raiser for the Democrat party. He raised close to a million dollars. Round trip on AF one cost the taxpayers almost three million.We are facing huge deficits and he doesn't care. It makes no sense or cents. We are the fools for electing him. Turmoil in the Middle East, Ebola ravaging parts of Africa and threatening all, while Barak is off to th e golf course. He has played 200 rounds since becoming President. And, for many of them, he flew Air Force One. Expensive rounds of golf I would say. I hope this coming election will start to bring our Country back to sensibility. Every vote will count. Cuomo meets his match

NY Governor Andrew Cuomo refuses to enter into a series of debates with his formidable challenger Rob Astorino prior to the November election. Cuomo is relying on TV ads touting NYS at taxpayers expense and a very negative TV ad full of lies and distortions. The NYS ads have been running for months and the blatant negative ad for over two months.
Yesterday, Rob Astorino's  eleven year old son, launched a Social Media ad admonishing Cuomo to stop telling lies about his Dad. I believe Cuomo has finally met his match.-----------Grandpa Gordon

More NY Safe Act

last week, a crazed driver killed a NYS Trooper by crashing his pick up truck into officer during a routine traffic stop. The driver of the truck has been charged with first degree murder.
Yesterday, NY Governor, Andrew Cuomo, sprung into action by adding to the NY Safe Act. He ordered that all pick up trucks of over 100 horse power be considered assault weapons. He, also, ordered  a background check and a mandatory six month waiting period

Ray Rice, a NFL football player, was caught on video, severely beating his wife in an elevator. For his actions, he has been banned from professional football. What he did was absolutely inexcusable and he deserves what ever punishment he gets.

However, the militant woman's groups and the media are screaming that the commissioner acted too slowly and the punishment was too lenient. They want more hell, fire and brimstone brought down upon Ray Rice and the Commissioner.

But, what about that other famous woman abuser, Bill Clinton? He has abused women all his adult life sexually, mentally and physically. While President, He took advantage of an attractive young intern in the vicinity of the Oval Office. He had her commit oral sex on him and used one of his cigars for vaginal insertion. He boldly lied about and was only dis-barred. He not only disgraced himself and his family, but also the Office of the Presidency of the United States, our government, our Nation and it's people.

Where were the woman's groups? Where was the media? This despicable man was allowed to finish his term and, with the glorification of the media become a multi-millionaire.

An honest and sincere media would have driven this piece of human garbage to the ash heap of the forgotten. Never to be heard from again. What does this tell you about the media and the woman's groups? They are no better he!------------------Grandpa Gordon

Mr. Presdent, you pulled all of the troops from Iraq because you said you had promised that you would. This was a serious mistake. My question. Save a what?

Once again, I read where some silly environmentalist advised to cut back on the use of toilet paper to save a tree. Trees are a plant and a crop. Trees are cut down for use and replanted every day, There are more trees in the USA today than when the colonists arrived. The once tree barren great plains are now dotted with trees everywhere. Use less toilet paper to save a tree is like saying, "Don't eat  succotash to save a corn stalk!"---------------Grandpa Gordon

Putting Oil Cars in the Tank

First there was the river. Then came a port. Then railroad tracks came following the river terrain. All went well. Commerce abounded. Then someone squeezed a housing project next to the tracks. Following an accident in Canada, many people are concerned about their safety. This was not an issue before the ill-advised housing was built.
You can't move the river. And, it would be foolish to try to move the port and the rail lines. You can move the housing. It would be welcome in the spacious Helderbergs. And, guess what? In my wildest dreams I never thought I would say this. "It is time for Joe Biden to be President." The leadership of this country is in shambles. Cut back the IRS

Congress writes the tax code. It is beyond control. The IRS as an agency is out of control. It has become a biased, liberal tool of the Democrat Party and has broken many laws by targeting conservative groups for all types of harassment and delays. Now is the time to restructure the system. How? Simple, ---the Flat Tax! Every single wage earner pays a flat percentage of his pay. Let us say 15%. Fifteen cents of every dollar earned goes to taxes. You earn 100 dollars you pay 15. You earn 1000 dollars you pay 150. The more a person makes the more he pays. That's the fair way. Too many people today pay no taxes and , therefore have little interest in government and politics. Paying taxes will change that! Help thousands of IRS employees retire. Save our country billions of dollars. Push for the flat tax. Talk about it. Make it happen. We are Americans. Let's save our Country for our children. The Flat Tax is one of the answers. It makes common sense and it is so simple. -------------Grandpa Gordon

Obama Care-- Obama Scare

The polls show hat a majority of Americans are opposed to Obama Care. I am far more worried about what I call Obama Scare. President Obamas' broken promises and continual outright lies scares me. His lack of ability and talent to lead the country scares me. His appointment of incompetent people to high positions such as, Attorney General, Secretary of State and Homeland Security Scares me. His refusal to follow the Constitution and enforce the laws scares me. His lack of concern about our trillions of dollars of national debt and his continued frivolous spending, both national and personal, scares me. His foreign policy of appeasing our enemies and  alienating our allies scares me. His weakening of our military and the pull back of our troops from crucial key areas scares me. His desire for the United States to no longer be the dominate force to protect peace around the world and aid struggling people looking for freedom and a democratic way of life scares me. The major media in this country that supports and enables this president in his devious endeavors, while failing to inform the electorate of the truth, scares me. The massive amount of un-checked voter fraud that continues scares me. The masses of under informed citizens going to the polls and voting on what they do not know scares me. The direction in which our Country is heading and what we might eventually become scares me. It will not be a better place for our children and those that follow, and that scares me. Liars Mountain

There is a solution to the national waste and trash problems facing our country. Recycling is alive and growing and is a common sense approach to handling a large amount of waste materials. Landfills seem to be the current answer to the remainder of the trash that cannot be recycled. We are running out of space for this procedure. I have a solution.----------- In the Dakotas we have an area called the badlands that, at present, have no useful purpose. Let us run a rail line there and start a mountainous landfill. Rubbish and trash from all over the nation delivered to the badlands. Landfills are constructed of layers of trash covered by a layer of dirt or gravel. Continue the procedure until a  huge mountain is created. Level-off that mountain top to accomodate two huge blocks of white granite or marble from Vermont or New Hampshire and one huge block of coal from West Virginia. Bring on the sculpters and carve the heads of Richard Nixon, Bill Clinton and Barak Obama (ala Mt Rushmore) out of those blocks on that landfill mountain top. Now the badlands become a tourist attraction in the Dakotas. Presidents who lie will have a place in history on future mountain tops.Passenger trains can bring the tourists. Hotels will be built and a new industry is created. It is amazing what good can come from presidential trash and everyday rubbish. Welcome to Liar's Mountain. ------Grandpa Gordon
