During the 2012 Presidential election race, Harry Reid, the leader of the Democrat controlled Senate, said that he had learned from anonymous sources that Mitt Romney had not paid his income taxes for the past ten years. It was a complete lie and Romney was able to prove that he had paid all of his taxes. However, the damage had been done and thousands of voters believed the lie.
Recently, Harry Reid announced that he was retiring and would not seek reelection after serving several terms. Last week, on a T.V. interview, he was asked about his terrible lie. He showed no remorse, shrugged his shoulders and said, "Romney lost didn't he?" Harry Reid is just another example as to why we need term limits and rid our nation of corrupt career politicians. --------

Choosing a candidate
There are many in the news who express a desire to be the new President. First of all, look for one who believes in the greatness of our country. It's purpose of freedom and opportunity. One who will downsize and bring the federal government under control. One who will uphold the laws and seal our borders. One who believes in our Constitution and knows the process to amend it when needed. One who understands the diversity in our world and will develop a sensible foreign policy. One who believes that peace is maintained by having a strong military. One who will dismantle the IRS and install the simple flat tax, eliminating all other forms of taxation. One who knows that term limits will help to keep our legislators honest. One who will take care of the needy and encourage all others on welfare to work and pursue the American dream. One who understands the bias of the media and will be open and truthful at all times. One who will appoint capable people to assist with the important positions in our governmental structure. There is such a person. Educate yourself, find that person and give that person your vote in November of 2016. Your Country needs you! -------------------Grandpa Gordon

The fgact of the matter is
In the first 75 years of my life, I may have heard the phrase,, (the fact of the matter is), once or twice a year. Recently it can be heard several times almost every day. The reason, of course, is the current media. They spin the facts, twist the news, have omissions, untruths and state whatever is necessary to fit their agenda. Honest and knowledgeable people are compelled to use that phrase in order to set the record straight. What is most ironic is, that President Obama uses the phrase frequently when questioned by reporters on some of the severely spun news. He says, "the fact of the matter is," trying to satisfy his questioners and, spins another perfectly ridiculous tale. Thus, we still do not know what the fact of the matter is. However, there are those of us who pay close attention, get our information from fair and balanced sources, weigh the information and do know what the fact of the matter is. Let us hope there become more than enough of us to make it to the polls in 2016 and cast a proper vote so that the rest of the world will know what the fact of the matter really is. -------Grandpa Gordon

Should we pay taxes?
The race baiter, Al Sharpton, who earned his fame in the phoney Twana Brawley case, is now an adviser and friend to Barak Obama. He has been invited to the White House over eighty times. He continues to tout racial bias and is frequently in the media news. He is a phoney and should have been ignored after the Brawley incident. Instead, the media treats him as an important character. He, also owes over 4 million dollars in unpaid taxes. Perhaps we all should stop paying our taxes. We may, then also, be invited to the White House. It seems that politicians that lie are championed by the Democrat party.-----------------------
